Lorelei's Jade Scott Pinwheel Challenge!

A couple of weeks ago, the wonderful Lorelei announced a new challenge on her blog. Only six lucky people would be selected at random to receive one of Jade Scott's new enameled pinwheels. I was totally floored when I got a message from Lorelei that I was one of the winners!

I knew right away that I was going to pair it with one of Elukka's houses, which I had only recently purchased. And while I don't usually work with orange much, I am really excited about the way my necklace came together!

As always, click to enlarge!

Make sure to check out all the other participants' blogs, as well as Lorelei's to see what they've created!

Just for fun, Rebecca Anderson of Songbeads decided to order a pinwheel from Jade and play along on her own. Make sure to see what she made!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Heidi!!! Awesome color combo! With the black grey and copper too. So necessary. So far this is my favorite piece of the ones I've seen in this pinwheel challenge. Great work! Simple, yet very exciting. Love it! Makes me very very inspired. :-) Thank you!

  6. Totally love what you've done! The orange and green - especially that particular shade of green - work perfectly together. I quite often use orange but I've never paired these together - I will now. And I love the simple asymmetry of it. ANd of course, Elukka's house....it adds to the fun, whimsical feel which I think the pinwheel creates. Have so loved this challenge! Bead soup is amazing but it's also lovely to just hop round a few blogs for a change.

  7. Just beautiful. I love how the orange and green work together and how the orange is just the right pop of color. And when you pair it with those black lava beads, it's just wonderful.

  10. Your piece is PERFECT! The colors are amazing (the tones of the orange and green couldn't be better matched. Maybe its the lava, but I'm now singing about a little grass shack in Hawaii (in my head - the world thanks me). I'd wear this and pretend I'm on vacation all day long.

  17. This really turned out well. What a blessing that that little green house and your orange pinwheel worked out together. Orange is one of those colors that I can't seem to get to go with anything. You made it shine. Awesome job!
