Focal from Nancy Schindler - Round Rabbit Extra, faceted jade, coral, carved bone, antiqued copper.
Hand painted shell pendant (retrieved from a Heather Box 'o Vintage Goodies), jade, kukui seeds, shell spacers, gold plated metal spacers, antique brass chain.
Raku Green Man pendant from Jessi, glass, jade, agate, gunmetal strung on waxed Irish linen.
Very pretty! I love that first one, esp - such great colors!
ReplyDeleteAll three are beautiful, I love the Round Rabbit pendant!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Heidi, they all look lovely! I just love how you pick up colors from the focals and let that be the scheme for the strung parts. You certainly have a style of your own. I get inspired to try to work the same way. Don't know if I will be able to though ;-) ... but I will give it a try, I haven't made a necklace with strung beads for ages it feels like.
ReplyDeleteI love that detail in the first one with the little red rounds added on, dangling from the links. Perfect! Doubles the rows of beads in a genius way.
Oh, and I wanna try that monochromatic scheme principle that you have in the last green one too. I do recognize those two large facetted roundels. I love them, and I will definitely consider using the ones I got from you as the starting point in one of my own creations very soon. A necklace. They've been roaming around in the hot spot of my beading table ever since they arrived. You must have so many wonderful gems in your stash Heidi. Facetted gems. I'm envious.
So now, my mission for the next piece I am about to create is to make a necklace á la Heidi Post. Thank you so much for inspiring me!
Beautiful, Heidi!
ReplyDeleteThe pendants are little works of art, and you set them off perfectly. :)
PS: I finished the rainbow cuff!
so festive and fun, and so perfect for spring!
